Terrazza La Brunella ... it is endlessly romantic to sit on the restaurant terrace of the Villa Brunella at sunset. Soft music, candles and an excellent glass of champagne; perfect service and a magnificent view over the sea and around the cliffs, a view which you only get on Capri. The wonderful Caprese cuisine does, of course, also play an important role: Risotto alla pescatore with mussels and langoustines, Linguini ai tre colori, aubergine, courgette and yellow pepper provide the colours; Scalloppine dello chef, two waferthin veal slices filled with spinach and mozzarella. The speciality of the house is the ravioli stuffed with ham, Parmesan and caciotta cheese. For dessert, wild strawberries with cream followed by an espresso and a Limoncello, the liqueur which is made from Capri's most intensely tasting lemons. The Villa Brunella sits like an eagle's nest on the flowercovered cliff side. The owners, Vincenzo and Brunella Ruggiero, make the most of their good contacts to get only the freshest and best ingredients from the island and you can taste this with every bite.
